At Busch Flower Farm, we grow a wide variety of fresh-cut flowers and potted plants year-round in our Minnesota greenhouses. Our crops include alstroemeria, lilies, tulips, snapdragons, gerberas, and more. Each is grown locally and carefully tended from planting to harvest to ensure the highest quality and freshness.

Blooming and Green Plants

Our potted plants are greenhouse-grown in Minnesota and finished with quality and consistency in mind.

Begonia

Place in bright, indirect light.
Water when the top soil feels dry.
Avoid overwatering and standing water.

Calandiva

Provide bright light for best blooms.
Water sparingly and allow soil to dry between watering.
Avoid cold drafts.

Cyclamen

Keep in a cool, bright location.
Water from the bottom when soil feels dry.
Remove spent blooms to encourage more flowers.

Gerbera

Place in bright, indirect sunlight.
Water when soil is slightly dry.
Avoid soggy soil and cold temperatures.

Kalanchoe

Bright light helps maintain blooms.
Water lightly; allow soil to dry between waterings.
Prefers warm, dry conditions.

Mums

Place in bright light.
Keep soil evenly moist, not soggy.
Remove faded blooms to extend flowering.

Poinsettia

Keep in bright, indirect light.
Water when soil is dry to the touch.
Protect from cold drafts and temperature swings.

Primula

Prefers cool temperatures and bright light.
Keep soil consistently moist.
Avoid direct sunlight.

Calla Lily

Place in bright, indirect light
Keep soil evenly moist, but avoid overwatering
Use a well-draining pot with drainage holes
Remove spent blooms and yellowing foliage as needed
Keep away from pets and children, as all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested

Fern

Place in bright, indirect light to partial shade
Keep soil consistently moist, but not soggy
Water when the surface of the soil begins to feel dry
Remove brown or damaged fronds to encourage healthy growth

Ivy

Place in bright, indirect light
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry
Avoid letting the soil become waterlogged
Prefers cooler temperatures (50–70°F)
Trim vines as needed to maintain shape and encourage fuller growth
Keep away from pets, as ivy is toxic if ingested

Gloxinia

Place in bright, indirect light
Keep soil evenly moist while actively growing and blooming
Remove spent blooms and damaged leaves to encourage continued flowering

Easter Lilies

Place in bright, indirect light.
Keep soil evenly moist.
Remove spent flowers to extend bloom life.

Hydrangea

Bright light, but avoid hot direct sun.
Water frequently; soil should stay moist.
Wilting is a sign it needs water quickly.
